His motivation for helping found Interns for America is a deep commitment to public service, and a hope that the organization can make youth involvement in progressive public service more accessible.

SAM ROTH, DEPUTY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Sam Roth is the Deputy Executive Director, and a Co-Founder of Interns for America PAC. He is a first-year Master’s in Public Policy student at the University of Chicago Harris School. He is the incoming President of the University of Chicago Democrats and has experience in a number of progressive campaigns and organizations, including a fellowship with Common Cause Illinois, Field Organizer positions for Ameya Pawar for Governor and Brandon Johnson for Cook County Commissioner, and an internship in Chicago's 47th Ward office. He believes that young political talent will be indispensable to addressing today’s challenges, and he hopes that his involvement in Interns for America PAC will help other students to cultivate that talent and gain valuable exposure to the world of politics.

Anais Rosenblatt, Outreach Director

Anais Rosenblatt is the Outreach Director, and a Co-Founder of Interns for America PAC. She is a fourth year student at the University of Chicago studying Political Science. She is a lifelong Democrat and political enthusiast. As the child of a middle-class immigrant family, Anais understands the necessity of paid internships. She has had the opportunity to work for the National Partnership of New Americans, the City of Chicago City Clerk's Office, and the Office of the Illinois Comptroller- all funded internships. She firmly believes that without access to a livable wage many communities simply do not have access to government and politics.

Eric You, Deputy Outreach Director

Eric You is the Deputy Outreach Director, and a first-year University of Chicago student pursuing a Chemistry and Public Policy double major. Eric is the incoming Political Director of the University of Chicago Democrats and has a background in campaigns and community engagement, including working as a field intern for Dan Koh for Congress, a communications fellow for Lauren Underwood for Congress, driving voter turnout on campus, and tutoring citizenship classes at the Instituto del Progreso Latino. As the child of immigrants, Eric is excited to see such a talented and diverse crowd of 2020 presidential candidates and hopes that Interns for America will spread this message of inclusivity from the grassroots up.
